Hi,

We are designing the DAC81402 for our PLC analog output application (±10 V).

We have one question regarding the SENSE pin. In our application, the SENSE function is not required. Could you please confirm whether the SENSE pin can be left open, or whether it needs to be connected to a specific point?

Before we start the Hardware design, kindly clarify the recommended connection for the SENSE pin and if there are any specific precautions or configuration requirements.

    HI Udhay,

    SENSEP must be connected to OUT node of the device (preferably near the load) and SENSEN to GND.

    Thanks for your reply.

    We have one more clarification regarding the SENSEP pin. Should the SENSEP pin be connected directly to the output, or should it be connected through a resistor?

    Could you please share the recommended reference diagram or circuit for the SENSEP connection?

    This will help us finalize the circuit design.

    The VSENSEP line should be connected to the output directly without any resistor. 

    Check the block diagram as shown in the image below -
