Hi TI

    I have a issue about ADS8363 CMA/CMB, they have external 2.5V reference voltage input on my board, now I want to use internal REFIO for CMA/CMB, CMxx=1, does this conflict with external 2.5V reference? Or CMA/CMB would disconnect from external 2.5V reference?

    Hello Lei Zhou,

    With the ADS8363 in pseudo-differential input configuration, setting bits CMxx = 1 internally disconnects the ADC negative/common-mode input from the CMA/CMB pins, and connects instead to the REFIOx pin corresponding to RB[3:0] or RA[3:0] settings.

    If an external source is connected to CMA/CMB, there will not be a conflict with the internal reference voltage when CMxx = 1.

    This can be tested when the external source is disconnected by programming the CMxx bits to 1, and probing the CMA and CMB bits for voltage.
