ADS7280 - EOC pin doesn't toggle

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS7280

I am able to consistently send configuration data to the chip and read out what I’ve written.

However...

I’m unable to read accurate measurements from the chip. I always read 0xFFFC (-4) on both channels 0 & 1. I have channel 0 floating right now, but channel 1 is tied to a 2V voltage reference. The problem seems to be the End of Conversion (EOC) pin never changes state. I am setting the CONVST pin low for 10us.

I've attempted various configurations (including the default configuration for reference) and clock speeds, but they don't seem to make a difference.
