DAC7621 : What is the input capacitance ?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC7621

Hi,

I am connecting Spartan 6 FPGA's IOs to DAC7621 inputs in my system.

I am trying to verify whether FPGA IOs can able to drive the DAC inputs.

The DAC7621 datasheet does not mention about input capacitance of IO pins.

I appreciate any help.

Regards,

Karthik

  • Hi Karthik,

You looking for a general number or exact? The digital I/O pin capacitance is usually on the order of 4-12 pF in our DACs. Most of the time I have seen that they are around 7pF-ish. If you are looking for exact numbers, an IBIS Model would have to be requested and developed which could take weeks or possibly months depending on the wait time.
