Question about default offset value inside of DAC7728

Dear sir:

I got some problem using DAC7728.

We are working on bipolar straight binary mode with hardwire strapping of RSTSEL=0, /USB=0. There should be a -Full-Scale value observed at the output. But we got 0V output. We tried to read back the DAC offset register but we got solid "000", not "99Ah" in page 39. We want the DAC output to be -Full-Scale at power up stage.

Hi Brian,

Double check your power supply sequencing and take a look at this post. The DAC7718 is the SPI version of the DAC7728 and it sounds similar

I am going to take a look at it. Currently, I am programming my initial state to make offset value written in power up stage to make sure

offset value is correct without power sequencing.

I met the similar problem. And i am programming the initial state of the DAC7728 to solve the sequence problem.
