Hello all,
I have a few elementary questions regarding the optical black and optical dummy clamp functions in the ADC VSP 2562 that i use.
I understand that the CLPOB (optical black clamp) is supposed to be used when the ccd is reading out dark pixels. We assume that the dark pixels are not affected by light so the clamp level remains relatively constant during the readout operation. But in my case i am using a EMCCD, the supposedly constant dark pixels vary with gain, thus giving a different clamp level for different gains. So my question is can we use CLPOB to sample a DC level inbetween two line readout times. The output of the ccd goes high during the time between two readout period. this is unaffected by the gain. Can we use this level as a optical clamp for dark level.
Any information on this is appreciated, thank you
