dear sir

I have used the ADS1230 in my loadcell application.in which i have used the CY8C29666 -24PXI MCU,16X2 LINE LCD & ADS1230 (ADC),.

I am facing the display problem,that what ever the weight indicated on display get zero & ADC get heng up.when i start/stop the 230VAC contactor in electrical panel.

i have used 5 v dc LDO for the loadcell supply & MCU.i have used RC filter 0.1u/270vac Cap + 100ohms resistor across the contactor ,but there in no improvement in display.

so please give me some suggestion to avoid this problem.

    Hi Samip,

    If the ADS1230 device gets 'hung up' when you turn on/off your contactor, there is probably a surge either in the 5V rail, or a differential in the ground.  How do you have your board layout configured?  Do you have a solid ground plane or are you point-to-point wired?  I don't see the 5V LDO in your schematic, what sort of filtering do you have there and how much bulk capacitance do you have on the 5V rail?
