Does TI have an eval board for the DAC7728 octal DAC? Will the TSW1400 ADC/DAC eval card support this device, when the pending CMOS interface firmware for this card is released? What is the expected availability date for this firmware upgrade? Will a special daughter board be required to connect the DAC7728 to the TSW1400? Is this daughter board available from TI?

I am also interested to know if the TSW1400 is (or will be) compatible with the ADS8638 ADC device.

Hi David,

The DAC8728EVM is the board you are looking for. It was designed for the 16 bit version of the DAC7728 and can be ordered online. I will have to have someone else comment on the TWS1400 eval card you are talking about. I am not too familiar with it.

Hi David,

The TSW1400 card comes from our high-speed data converter group, it does not support devices like the DAC7728 or the ADS8638.
