ADS7825P's from Digikey

Hello,

I received a tube of ADS7825P's from Digikey and noticed that the IC pins were bent straight, versus the usual slightly angled orientation that new parts usually come in. I'm wondering if this is by design, and if so, why it's done. I'm hoping that I didn't receive some used parts (pulls)??? Thank you for your time.

Hi David,

Usually the PDIP package does have slightly angled pins as you noted. DigiKey should not be selling any used parts, so I doubt that is the issue. I'm not aware of any packaging changes that have been done with the ADS7825P lately that would explain the straight versus slightly angled pins, so I'll check with our QC guys on that.

Hi David,

There has been no package change and the samples we ordered from DigiKey seemed 'normal' with respect to their lead formation. I can try to contact DigiKey for you if it helps.
