Need EEPROM (U15,24C02) code

Hi,

I'm using ADC08D500DEV  board ,but now the wavevision software can't recognize it, I find the EEPROM (U15,24C02)which contains information used to identify the board is broken, can you give me a copy of the code programed in the EEPROM?

    Thanks a lot!

     Best Regards!

  • Hi bootan

How have you determined that the EEPROM is broken?

Have you replaced the 'broken' EEPROM with a new blank device?

    Best regards,

    Jim B

  • Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

Because the board can't find its driver, I wonder if the EEPROM is broken.

Then I take the EEPROM off the board, and connect it to a EEPROM Programmer, all the data readed out if "FF",so I determind there is something wrong with the EEPROM.

    Best regards,

    Bootan

  • Hi Bootan

The following procedure should re-program the proper information into the EEPROM on the board, provided an un-damaged, blank EEPROM is properly installed:

    Close WaveVision 4.

    Open C:\Program Files\National Semiconductor\WaveVision\wvprefs.txt

Add “EEPROM=true” at the bottom of the file

    Save and close wvprefs.txt

Turn on the board by moving the Rocker Switch on the rear panel to the ON position.

Run the Wavevision 4 software on the PC.

Connect the USB Cable from the PC to the ADC08D500DEV board.

Go to the Tools pull-down menu and select EEPROM Editor.

Fill in the table as the example here and then click the Program Cypress button. Once this is done, the Wavevision 4 software should recognize the board. If not, the EEPROM is damaged or some other problem exists.

    Best regards,

    Jim B

  • Hi,Jim B

Thank you very much for your reply. I programmed the EEPROM with your method, and now the wavevision software can recognize the board.

           Best regards!
