Hi,

Is there an advantage to using an external clock with the ADS1299 versus the internal clock? Is there any reason or situation where using the internal clock is not ideal?

Adrian,

Most customers are happy with the internal clock. A few reasons you may want to use an external clock would be:

A higher precision clock to maintain a specific data rate
Wanting to slightly modify the data rate from the default options
Synchronization of multiple devices

I am sure there are others that I am not thinking of too.
