Page 65 of the data sheet states "the converter enters a low-power mode when the input clock frequency falls below 1MSPS. The

power dissipation is approximately 80mW." Can I turn the colck off completey? How long does it take the converter to recover? I will be running at 250 MSPS and would like to turn off the clock when the converter is not in use.

Hi Fred,

We do not recommend turning off the clock to power down the device because it takes a long time for the output clock to become stable again. My measurement indicates more than half a second to become stable. I tried measuring it, but this was the limitation of my measurement.

Thanks Matt. Do you have any info on recovery time when the clock is reduced to below 1 MHz?

It would be very helpful to have some data sheet timing information on this, especially for a system startup.
