Daisy-Chain ADS1274 with ADS1278

Hello,

I am working on a project using 2 ads127x devices daisy-chained together, and am still in the schematic design phase, and I was wondering, is there any reason that I cannot daisy chain an ads1274 to an ads1278 assuming that they are operating in SPI mode and are connected to the same SYNC, CLK and SCLK lines and that all other format, mode and test configuration pins are similarly shared (so that they are operating in the same modes)? The data sheet doesn't give me any causes for concern for this case, but if anyone has tried it or has reason to believe that I will run into issues with this, I'd really appreciate any thoughts or information.

Hi Gregg,

You should be able to do that without a problem. I would recommend chaining the ADS1274 into the ADS1278 using the 1278 as the master to communicate with your uC.
