Ads1298 pace detection problem

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1298, ADS1298ECGFE-PDK

I have a development kit  ADS1298ECG-FE ECG Front-End Performance Demonstration Kit. At page 64 of Ads1298's datasheet says: "that the total gain in the pace path is

(0.4*PGA_GAIN).  At PACEOUT_1   I don't see the signal multiplicated by (0.4*PGA_GAIN). The  Vpeak_to_peapk of the input signal  is equal to the   output signa.  I've tried with all gain and it doesn't modify de Vpp.

What am i doind wrong ???

2- Why if i select two channels for pace_detection the rest of the channels modify the amplitude when switch them between normal electrode and gnd

  • Hi Miguel,

Welcome to the E2E forums!  To help us answer your first question, what is your signal source to the ADS1298ECGFE-PDK?  For your second question, signal source is also involved here, but when you refer to a modification of the amplitude, are you referring to the PACE out pins of the graphical display of the ADS1298ECGFE-PDK software?

  • Hi Tom,

The signal source to the ADS1298ECGFE-PDK is a digital signal generator. We're inputting a signal that  has amplitud of 10mV, offset=0, f=20hz, sin. We have tested with a variety of signal and amplitudes and we have obtained different results, so we don't have a conclusion about it. Our VREFP=2.4V internal and it's working well and

VREFN=AGND. If you have any questions that can help you to understand what we're doing wrong please ask whatever you want.

We're a worried about it because we have developed a custom board pcb and it is the only thing that it isn't working.

    Best regards
