use ADS1298 to capture audio signal

Hi,

I want to use ADS1298 to capture audio signal through microphone, I see ADS1298 has 8 ADs, so it can capture 8 channel audio at the same time, but I'm not sure whether I can do it on ADS1298 because it is design for ECG application.

could any expert give me some advice?

    Aaron -

    While the ADS1298 has ECG in mind with some of the feature-set, it can be used as a general-purpose ADC for your application.  You would just ignore the ECG related functionality of the device.  Alternatively, you can also use the ADS131E08, which is a similar device.  This part says it is for power metering applications, but can be used as a general purpose ADC too, with a few less ECG specific features.
