i want to use raspberry pi (ARM) with ADS7863EVM (board). i need some example (in C) to learn to config SPI registers to convert and sampling with it adc.

Hi Yuri,

I have no SPI examples for the Raspberry Pi, however, there are several code snippets available for the ADS8361 and ADS7861 on various TI processors here: http://www.ti.com/product/ads8361#doctype1

The ADS8361 and ADS7861 are early version of the ADS7863, they did not have the internal reference, so there are no actual 'registers' to configure.

Yuri,

Did you have any luck finding some example code? I also want to interface to a ADS7863 although I am using a TI MSP430F5528. I have used the built in SPI port before and I'm sure I can figure it out but some example code would be a big help.
