Drivers for ADS1293

Hi all,

I have just received the evaluation board for ADS1293 (ADS1293EVM). I have installed the software (http://www.ti.com/litv/zip/snac050), but there are no USB drivers included for the device. In the manual (http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/snau138/snau138.pdf) it mentions to find the folder “usb_driver_msp430”. I could not find anything like this or any other kind of drivers in TI website. The device is been recognized as "MSP430 based HID device" in the Device Manager. The board bears an MSP430F5529 MCU.

Could you please provide me with a valid driver for the device? Any other ideas?

Not yet, but they say they are onto it. Seems like they forgot to upload the driver. If I have news I will let you know.

I believe the supported operating systems are XP and Windows 7. I'll double check and get back to you.

But could you let me know if Windows 8 support is planned.

At the moment there is no specific plan for Windows 8 support. There are two things I can recommend you to try:
(1) Make sure you are installing the drivers as administrator, or
(2) Disable driver signature enforcement before installing the driver.

Let me know if this solves your problem. Else, try it on your Windows XP machine.

Hi Sergio,

The driver installed on the Win 8 laptop after disabling the driver signature checking

Also the driver works on Windows Vista
