ADS1258 PLLCAP to GND instead of AVSS

We are developing a new product using the ADS1258 ADC powered with +/- 2.5V bipolar supplies. In the first layout, we inadvertently connected the PLLCAP and XTAL Caps to GND instead of AVSS (-2.5V) as indicated in the datasheet. Will this affect performance? if so, how? thanks in advance...

    Hi John,

    I would guess you may see crystal start up issues and possibly recognition of the crystal if it does start. Basically, the converter may behave as if there is no master clock and conversions will not begin. I have never tried it myself though so cannot be sure.
