Configuring TVP5146EVM for VBI user mode

We have been working on slicing the VBI data coming with the video signal using TVP5146EVM. We want to see the data in the VBI FIFO register (subaddress 0XE2h). We have not been able to get any data in the FIFO though. Can you please help and guide us to do the same so that we can catch the VBI data in the FIFO. Also, the general line mode registers have been configured in the user mode.
