how to measure 0 volt with amc1100 amc1200 isolation amplifier ???

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AMC1100

Hello,

We use the AMC1100 isolation amplifier for measuring voltages ISOLATED from 5 to 70 volts.

Now it is possible that the isolated side is not powered, while the ADC output side wants already to measure.

If the isolated input is not powered, the outputs of Voutp and Voutm will go to 0 and 2.56 Volts (at 3 Volt secondary operation).

The polarity will depend on the offsett so that on some devices Voutm = 2.56 V and Voutp = 0 Volt with 0 volt input and on some devices Voutm = 0 Volt and Voutp = 2.56 Volt due to different offsett.

Can we trust on that, for detecting 0 volt input ?

Any hints regarding this are welcome.

Thanks a lot
