DAC121S101 fist pin?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC121S101

Hi guys,

I need to use a DAC121S101 with TSOT package (6pins) and I can't find a way on how to identify the first pin. On the top of the package there are some letters and numbers ("X6C1") but the datasheet doesn't refer nothing about the package orientation related to it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

  • Hi Mario,

You might need a magnifying glass for this...

The top surface of the package has a bar embossed along one of the long edges of the package. You may have to play a little with the light angle to see this feature.... it is very close to the edge... but it is pretty thick, about 1/4 of the height of the letters you see... it runs the whole lenght of the packages long edge.

Now, if you rotate the package so that the embossed line is "at the bottom of your view" pin 1 is bottom left. As it turns out, in this position you will see "X6C1" readable as usual from left to right.

As for suggestions: we need to fix the data sheet

    Regards,
