Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1299
Hello!
I am presently in the process of ordering an ADS1299 development kit for assessing the viability of this product for a new bio-feedback design.
I have a few questions first:
Do you recommend any particular electrodes for use with this? Is there a manufacturer (or even TI) that can supply an electrode set that
will interface to the ADS1299 daughter-board? Or perhaps a breakout board that may simplify the attachment of electrodes?
I am slightly unclear about this: If the maximum gain from the PGA on-board the ADS1299 is only 25, will it be required to have an intermediary pre-amp between
the patient/electrode interface and the ADS1299 board? Another possibility I've been considering is using high-input-Z buffers right at the scalp of the patient
so as to have an 'active' electrode, possibly even with additional gain. How could this potentially impact my signal chain in terms of signal distortion, and noise if I
choose to go this route?
If you could offer some suggestions relevant to my situation, or point me in the direction of further information; that would be most appreciated.
Thank you
Robert C.
