Potentiostat with square wave voltammetry

I was looking at the LMP91xxx series ICs to implement an Electrochemical Potentiostat to measure pH.  The datasheets only mention use with gas sensors.  Can the ICs be used with standard electrodes?

Also, is there an in-built module in the ICs for square wave voltammetry?
