Harsh Environment Acquisition Terminal (H.E.A.T)

Hello,

I'm intending to use the (H.E.A.T) Evaluation Module Platform for High-Temperature Application, However from the User Guide , doesn't show available GPIO for sending output signals/activating or firing a solenoid. After i reviewed the circuit schematics , I realized the soldered jumpers JP14 , which have not been mentioned in the User Guide.

My question is : Can I make use of the JP14 (if available on the physical board) to communicate with external TI PWM Solenoid DRV101 to fire a solenoid.!?

Thank you

Karam J.

  • Karam, thanks for your interest on the HEAT EVM. Let me however, clarify that this EVM is intended exclusively for evaluation purposes and it is not intended to be used in any real-life applications. It is a reference design which main goal is to demonstrate the capabilities of our integrated circuits but customers are expected to design their own boards/systems for their applications.

That being said, yes, you can use JP14 to have access to the GPIO signals and drive the solenoid.
