Pacer detection with AFE chips in ECG acquisition

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1298, ADS1291, ADS1198

Have anybody tried hardware pacer detection with any of the AFE chips(ADS1298,1296 etc) successfully? Or is there anybody who could get and view the analog channel waveforms (before sampling) through the TESTPACE_OUT pins??

  • I have get pacer detection worked with ADS1291 .. where I have to use an external amplifier after PGA outputs .. you should be care about the the choping frequency it should be at least 64kHz .otherwise it will kill pace signal

  • Thanks hector. But actually when i checkd the ADS1291 datasheet, the internal blocks are different from ADS1198/1298. There is no pace amplifier. I saw a positiv feedback from Pace amplifier in all datasheets and thats why i wanted to confirm if its a printing mistake coz i cant understand the significanc of positiv feedback for a differential amplifier. None of the TI people are answering this question inspite of repeated posts. If the customer support was so bad i woudnt even have chosen TI's front end chip.
