Is it possible to daisy chain an ADS1278 with an ADS1271?

    What is the solution you are trying to achieve? There are enough differences in the timing that daisy chaining these two devices would not be recommended.  Depending on your SCLK and device mode, you could potentially daisy chain ADS1278 and ADS1274 devices if needed.  Some information on the connections and interface representation is shown in the apps section of the data sheet for reference.

    Greg,

    I have a design that presently requires 4+1 channels, and will likely expand to 8+1 channels.  I'm designing the board for now with a 1278, but want to make sure my path to the 8+1 is reasonably graceful.  My concern being the data handling circuitry to interface with my processor.
