Capacitive Sensor

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ENERGIA

I would like to use the SM470R1B1-HT to create a high temperature capacitive sensor.

The basic concept that I would like to use would be to have a HET output a PWM trough a resistor in series with the capacitive sensor that would then connect to an input HET.  An output and input timer would be compared after a set number of pulses, with the difference in time resulting in the chance in capacitance.  I have based this theory of operation on what I have learned by observing the Capsense program of the Stellaris Launchpad LM4F120.

My issue is that I have very limited programing knowledge and cannot find too many examples of ARM7TDMI code to learn what I need to do to accomplish the above program.

I currently am working with a TMDS-FET470R1B1M Development Board and IAR Embedded Workbench 4.40A.  The HETdemo gives me a little bit of insight, but I really could use some help.

I am currently reading ARM System Developer's Guide, however the material is very dense and not easily applied to figuring out what I need to do code wise.

Are there any code examples that would explain and walk through the code line by line?

Are there any quick start resources (something like Energia for the Stellaris) or beginner's books that could fast track my understanding of the ARM7TDMI?

Is creating a high temperature capacitive sensor with the SM470R1B1-HT even possible?

I would be ecstatic if someone could should me how to create a PWM on an output HET then pick up on different input HET, and lastly have a third pin turn on an LED when the PWM is present on the input HET.

Thanks to everyone in advance for an help that you may be able to offer me.

Very Best Regards,
