ADS1294 characteristics

Hello.

Conditions:

Own PCB

AVDD=3V AVSS=0V DVDD=3V

internal VREFP=2,4V,    VREFN=AVSS

external clock 2,048Mhz

data rate = 500 SPS HRmode

gain 6dB

CHxSET.MUX[2:0]=001(input shorted)

We have poor input referred noise about 11..14 uV peak-to-peak instead of  5uV as mentioned in the datasheet

Also we have awful OFFSET on each channel: 419..1266uV  (Figure 15 DS  promises about 250uV)

Is it normal ?

  • Hi Roman,

    Sorry to hear you're seeing unusually high input-referred noise and offset. If you are using an internal input short, I cannot see why you cannot get close to the datasheet specs.

    Can you send me a schematic of your PCB, as well as any relevant scope/screen captures? Any information about your setup will be most helpful for me to understand your system and identify possible causes.

    Thanks,
