We have built a DC-DC converter based on the TPS40200 using the design generated by SwitcherPro.
Input Voltage 36 or 45 VDC
Output voltage 28 VDC, 1 A
The application it is to be used in switches the input to the SMPS between two separate DC supplies of different voltages. Occasionally on start-up or after switching sources the output voltage drops to between 7 and 10 VDC and gets stuck there. The only thing to unstick is to disconnect all power and wait several minutes. I assume there is a something being tossed in to oscillation, maybe the SS circuit or the current sense. Any advice on root cause and a fix is appreciated.
