ADS5474: input clock higher than 400MHz

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS5463, ADS5474

Hello forum!

I have a need for 14-bits of conversion at a widely and rapidly varying sample clock rate, from about 50MHz to 450MHz in under 10uS.  The application might be OK with 12 bits, and in that case, it seems the ADS5463 will suffice.  The ADS5474 converts at 14 bits, but only to 400MSPS, according to the data sheet.   However, our testing at room temperature shows it functioning well with a 450MHz input clock, and managing the sweep of clock frequency well too.  Ultimately, the product won't run cold, but is likely to operate at up to 60C or so.  Can anyone suggest how problems might manifest themselves if I opt to use this device under these conditions at this sample rate?
