Hi All,
I am using TL16CP754CIPM device in my design. The clock for this device is sourced from a 6.144 MHz +/-30 ppm crystal. With this crystal i am facing some issue in baud rate. I have set the baud rate to 9600 but what i am getting is only 9432. What can be the couse?
1. The TL16CP754CIPM is connected to an UART port of a PIC microcontroller
2. The actual baud rate measured on the pin of TL16CP754CIPM is differing from the configured/expected value.
3. The baud rate deviations are: 9600 is measured as 9432, 19200 is measured as 18520, 38400 is measured as 37310.
4. The expected and measured baud rate of UART of PIC microcontroller is correct
5. With the data transfer across these two devices, the data received by TL16CP754CIPM is corrupted and some time shows framing error. I think this is because of the Baud rate issue.
6. The interface/data transfer works fine when the baud rate of UART in the PIC micro controller is configured to the measured baud rate of TL16CP754CIPM device.
8. With respect to the TL16CP754CIPM device datasheets figure 10, we are using following discrete components. a. C1 = C2 = 22pf b. Rp = 1M c. RX2 = 0 d. HCM49 6.144MABJ-UT, 6.144 MHz +/-30 ppm 18 pF crystal from Citizen
