The errata on the 5-6K Interface Board Document (SLAU104B)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C6416

Hi TI,

Which one is correct? Or, I misunderstand it.

On page 3, J15 is mapped to the b-type signals; J16 is mapped to the a-type signals.

However, on the 5-6K interface board schematics (page 11), the J15 is mapped to the a-type; J16 is to the b-type.

  • Tony,

    Thanks for pointing this out.

I can confirm that J15 is "a" and J16 is "b". In case of the TMS320C6416 DSK, this would mean that J15 is McBSP2 and J16 is mapped to McBSP0.

    Regards,

    Richard

  • Hi Chun-ming,

The schematic is correct.  As the various DSK's were constructed (C6711, 6713, 5416, etc...) the serial ports brought out to the daughter card interface did not remain consistent.  You'll need to check the technical reference documents that came with your DSK to verify which actual McBSP port you are talking to.  I will have the table on page three fixed ASAP.  Thank you for pointing that out!
