The maximum bandwidth to the device is limited by the maximum input rate into the device and the characteristics of the interpolation filters.
The interpolation filters on both devices have a cutoff frequency of 0.4*Finput.
The DAC5688 has a maximum input rate of 250MSPS. Thus, the maximum bandwidth is 100MHz. Please note that the 100MHz is single sided. If the device is used with complex inputs and outputs the maximum bandwidth is double, 200MHz.
The DAC5682Z maximum input rate as a dual is 500MSPS (1GSPS interleaved). Following the same explanation as above, the maximum bandwidth is 200MHz for a real output, 400MHz for a complex output.
The benefit of the interpolation filters is that the signal image is pushed further in frequency allowing the implementation of simple filters without having to sacrifice some bandwidth.
