I had incorrectly posted this in the analog forum, and my 'yes/no' question was not specifically answered.
I have a Stratix II FPGA DSP development board that has two connectors for TI-EVM daughter cards. The connectors are labelled 'TI-EVM/FPDP' in the Altera documentation. I would like to know if I can connect the digital side of TI's DAC evaluation boards to my FPGA development board with this connector.
The previous answer I received said that I could connect one of TI's processor evaluation boards, but did not specify whether I could connect a DAC evaluation board (like the DAC5682z EVM).
Thanks,
Mark
Altera does have a connector compatible with the TI DAC5682Z EVM interface - it is call HSMC. There are Statix II, Cyclone III and Statix III EVMs available with this connector. However, I do not believe your specific EVM has the compatible connector.
The HSMC connector would also be compatible with future LVDS high speed DACs.
Finally, the TSW3100 high speed pattern generator from TI uses an Altera Statix II FPGA.
