Hello~

I am trying to connect TSW1400EVM with AFE5808AEVM. I chose the AFE5808_09_16b firmware. It seems the firmware downloading in TSW1400 GUI takes forever. How to test TSW1400EVM with AFE5808A? I always get that "read DDR to file time out error".

    Jin,

    Downloading usually takes a long time.  This is normal.  It is usual 30-90 seconds.  If it seems to hang indefinitely, please let me know.  Which version of the GUI are you using?

    Please ensure that the TSW1400 is getting a clock signal from the ADC.  After downloading firmware, LEDs D2-D9 should all be lit except for D6.  If D5 is not lit, that means that the ADC clock output is not correct.  This must be lit to capture data.

    Also,  the firmware that you chose is the 16-bit mode of capture.  This means that your ADC mode on the AFE has to 16-bit as well or you will get an error similar to the one you have.  Either choose AFE5808_09_14b on the TSW GUI or switch to 16-bit on the ADC LVDS rate.

    Thanks, I literally mean that the downloading takes forever, I waited for the whole afternoon and had to interupt it. But it still works after that.
