I am writing because I want to ask if in your expert opinion there could be any problem in using a TS3A44159 as a RS232 demux, in my application I only have one RS232 port but I need to connect 2 different devices to it (a MCU and a printer). My idea is to demux the RS232 port in order to have 2, each port will be selected using the IN1-2 and IN3-4 pins.
My concern is the differential lines of RS232, I am not sure if the TS3A44159 could affect them since they are either positive or negative voltage. If some how the analog switch will clamp the voltage then for sure I cannot use it to "demux" the RS232 port.
Please look at the attached picture, your advice will be highly appreciated.
