TSW1200 firmware version

Hi!

  • There seems to be some problems with the display of your question.  What i saw was:

    What's the between V1.2 and V1.5 firmware?

I've got 2 TSW1200 card. One with  V1.2 and the other one with V1.5.

When i  change V1.2  for V1.5, it doesn't work anymore. Is that normal?

Are you referring to the version of the Serial format firmware as it is displayed in the status pane after the GUI is launched or reinitialized?  The reason i ask is that version 1.5 is the latest version for the serial format, while 1.6 is the current version for the parallel DDR data format.  it has been a number of years since version 1.2 has been distributed.

Usually the primary reason for releasing a new TSW1200 firmware version has been to add support for new data formats.  That is, as there are new ADCs released that have a different format of the sample data we would have to have released a new firmware for the TSW1200 to add an ADC interface to the new data format.  As I recall, the version 1.2 serial data format didn't have support for a 4-lane 4-way serialized format that we needed and that version 1.5 of the firmware added support for that.  sometimes a new version would be an occasion to fix any bugs that might have been found, but i don't know of any bugs in the serial firmware that would have been fixed from 1.2 to 1.5.

When you say 'it' doesn't work anymore, what do you mean?  What ADC EVM are you using and what TSW1200 GUI revision are you using?

    Regards,

    Richard P.
