Hi,
I'm still puzzled how this device does the auto detection. Would anyone shed the light on how does this chip know if its a normal mic or headphone is inserted and detect accordingly? My core chip has a HPDET pin. I'm thinking if i can send a signal ("low" as my pin is normally high) to core chip HPDET pin, then using I2C, send a trigger back to inform what has been inserted in.
Anyone can advise??
Also, the datasheet shows a 7pole connection to this chip while mine is a 5 pole. Any reference schematic i can refer to? Or any recommendations for 7pole connector would be good. Thank you
