Does the /RD line have to be grounded in serial mode? The data sheet for the AD8556 says to connect it to BGND, but operation on he EVM would suggest no? On the EVM, this line is pulled high (DC_ARE# via R40 to BVdd), but I am still able to read from the serial SDOs. Observation would suggest that /RD is only an enable for the parallel output buffers. Please confirm this is true.
