Hi,

In order to program registers on the ADS42P42 EVM rev E. board is it required to connect a clock besides the SPI SCLK?

Further more, is it possible to get a test pattern without connecting a clock?

    Hi,

    There is no such a device as ADS42P42. If you meant ADS4242, SPI clock comes from FTDI USB chip. You'll not need a sampling clock for SPI configuration, but the basic functionality of ADC including test pattern will not work without a sampling clock.
