DAC3484EVM with HSMC

I'm trying to use the DAC3484 EVM rev G with a Terassic DE-4 development board through one of it's HSMC connectors. Beyond the problem of mechanically mating the connectors, based on the schematics available for rev F it appears that the EVM will connect the HSMC power pins in bank 2 and 3 to ground. Would it be possible to connect the EVM to the HSMC connector using a Samtec HQDP cable that would leave the power pins in banks 2 and 3 unconnected? Also are all the signals on Rev G of the EVM routed to the same Samtec connector pins as in Rev F?

The DAC3484 EVM will have an updated HSMC connector that no longer has this problem. In the mean time, we may still have a few inventories across different distributor channels that need to be flushed out.

After checking the mechanical drawings of HQDP connector cable and QTH HSMC connector, it is possible to connect the DAC3484EVM to the Altera Terassic DE-4 development board.

For the HQDP cable, you will need the HQDP-060 family for 3 banks of 20x differential pair only connector. The mechanical for the retension clip connector between the HQDP-060 and QTS-090 connector matches. You may refer to the following documents:

The mechanical for the existing QTH-090 connector with retension clip on the DAC3484EVM

This approach eliminates the potential short of power to ground between Terassic board and DAC3484EVM since the single-ended connections are not connected.
