ADS1282EVM-PDK installation problem

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1282, ADCPRO

I have installed ADCPro with the ADS1282 EVM plug in.  When I attempt to load the ADS1282EVM plugin I get the following error in the file error.log:

Error Code 5015: libadcpro.lvlib:ErrorLoad_Main.vi<ERR>
Error Loading Front Panel
See "Current Plugin Errors.txt" for more.

<b>Complete call chain:</b>
libadcpro.lvlib:ErrorLoad_Main.vi
libadcpro.lvlib:Plugin.lvclass:loadPanelVI.vi
libadcpro.lvlib:Plugin.lvclass:init.vi
libadcpro.lvlib:SignalPlugin.lvclass:init.vi
libadcpro.lvlib:EVMPlugin.lvclass:init.vi
ads1282evm.lvlib:ADS1282EVM.lvclass:ADS1282EVMFactory.vi

libadcpro.lvlib:Plugin.lvclass:loadFromFolder.vi
Shell - Main.vi 10/7/2013:4:27:32 PM Central Daylight Time

And the file Current Plugin Errors.txt contains:

Bad VIs in ADS1282EVMPanel

ads1282evm.lvlib:LED_DisplayText.vi Bad VI

What is the cause of these errors?

Thank you,

  • Hi Phil,

What version of ADCPro are you currently using and what OS are you running on?

  • Hi Sergey,

This issue has been intermittent and non-trivial to diagnose. I believe it is driver related... I just recently have been able to reproduce the issue on one computer, while other computers seem to work just fine. I'm looking into the differences now.

You might try the software on another PC to see if it will work on it.

Also, if you don't mind sharing what NI software drivers are currently installed on your computer it would be helpful (ADCPro is LabView based and it appears to not be compiling properly at runtime)! ...You can find this list by going to Control Panel -> Programs and Features. Double click on "National Instruments Software", click yes to allow changes, then take a screenshot of the list of software under the "Product" tab.

    Thanks,
    Chris

  • Hi Sergey,

I found a solution that fixed the issue on my end. Hopefully this solution will work for you as well...

I deleted the C:\Program Files (x86)\ADCPro folder, then re-installed ADCPro (download link here) and the ADS1282EVM Plugin (download link here).

There appears to be an ADCPro file that can get corrupted when running the LabVIEW development. Re-installing ADCPro does not overwrite this corrupted file; therefore, make sure you delete the existing installation before re-installing.

Please try this and let me know if it resolves the issue!

    Best Regards,
    Chris
