    Hi Syed,

    I split your post from the previous thread as that thread is over a year old.  We do not have a direct pin for pin replacement for the ADS1230.  We do have similar devices such as the ADS1232 and the ADS1231.

    Transient events can come through the cabling into the supply, the analog inputs or a disturbance within the ground.  Often times extra protection is required, or changes to the PCB layout may be required.  First, it is best to find out where the transient event is causing the issue.  I can help in evaluating your system if you send me your schematic and layout as well as the specific conditions that cause the issue you are seeing.
