Our customer have question for DAC5688.

As you know, DAC5688 is 2channel DAC that allows both complex or real output.

Our customer want to below concept :

  1. Output type : Real
  2. DAC5688 outputs (2 channels) should operate independently from each other.

       

DAC5688 Possible?

If OK, Please related register value….

Our customer does not have many time, Please response as soon as possible.

    Hi Jayden,

    I had responded before about the different possible configurations for DAC5688 real output architecture. Without knowing which options that the customer would prefer, I cannot proceed with recommendations.

    The customer should provide basic information such as DAC sample rate, DAC data rate (before interpolation), interpolation rate, PLL on/off, NCO on/off, QMC, etc. Also, they need to pick one of the options from the app note in the previous discussion.

    Thank you for youe answer.

    But Our customer have some question.

    1. Can we disable for only qmc_phase function?

       - Please advice that related registers

    2. Can we protect cross talk problem as register setting?

       - If need additional HW circuit, Please advice.

    Jayden,

    The QMC gain/phase are one digital logic and cannot be disabled independently. 

    To avoid cross talk problem due to phase adjustment, the customer can simply not program the phase register bits in CONFIG14 and CONFIG15.
