Get data from ADS1293

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1293

In my previous topic, I posted my schematic and some problem with my circuit. And It resolved.

Now, I can config register getting started get data:

First: I set ADS1293 device run in test mode and It worked correctly.

Then I get data from channel 1 connected to IN1 and IN2, channel 2 connected to IN3 and IN1.

I configured register :   4606.register.xls

and result I got is:

after that, I shorted IN1 and IN2, and the result is not change.

I am sure that I connected electrodes to Input pins of ADS1293.

It seemly does not get signal from Input pins.

Can anyone tell my why ?

Do we need another filter (ex Digital FIR Filter) to process data ?

Please share me some result pictures when data is unprocessed to compare with my result .

Thanks everyone.

(Sorry my bad english)

  • Hi, sorry I had not got a chance to reply on this post.

What is your input signal to IN2-IN1 and IN3-IN1? This should be a differential signal and its common-mode should be within the operating range of the ADS1293. Connecting the RLD Amp helps with this and based on your settings this signal is routed to IN4. To verify this you can measure the voltage from CMOUT pin... the common-mode buffer gives you the average voltage of the enabled pins (IN1, IN2 and IN3 in your case, from register 0x0A). The voltage should be close to VDD/2

  • Good afternoon,

My question is if the ads1293 or are integrated to capture ECG signals, emg, ekg are used only with a simulator or are used as devices for general consumption. Since I have not seen any such product used in a human being in real time.
