1292 protection

Hello,

I am trying to use TVS diode to protect 1292 in case of ESD shock. I think from protection point of view, it should be placed in between 51K and 1292 pin. but I don't know will this affect the signal quality. because the diode will generate bias current to this point. is it better to put it on the left side of the 51K resistor. could anyone suggest where should I put this TVS, why?

Sincerely,

David
