about the "Acquire" Button in the ADS1299EEG-FE software

I am using the newest ADS1299-EEG-FE software. When I tried to record a 20 seconds EEG data and push the "Acquire" button, it waited for a long time to display the waveform on the screen.

Does it begin recording data as soon as I push the "Acquire" button?

I mean can it display the waveform in a real-time manner like an oscilloscope? Therefore, I can know immediately whether the waveform shows some differences say for a open/close eye circumstances.

The software does not support real-time data transfer/viewing. When you press the acquire button, the data is collected from the ADC and buffered in memory. Then when all points are complete, the data is transferred to the PC via USB

I have got the source code for the software from you. If I want to change it to a real-time data transfer/viewing mode, will it be a big revise? Can you advise me how to do it?
