Hi,

Can the ADS5263EVM be configured to read DC signals or does it always have to be AC coupled?

    Hi Chris,

    The ADS5263 cannot sample DC signals in its default configuration.  Channels 1, 2, and 4 are limited by the transformers to  input signals above 400kHz.  Channel 3 is limited by the ADC driver's (THS770006) output common mode voltage range.  The ADS5263 needs a VCM of 1.5V but the THS770006 can only go down to 2.25V.   Therefore, DC coupling is not possible on this EVM.   The device itself has no problem sampling DC signals so long as the 1.5V common mode input voltage is respected.
