ADC register configuration using SPI interface

Hi,

I am using ADC12D1800RF and using SPI interface to configure the ADC registers (ECM mode), using the on board FPGA.

My doubt is, is it mandatory to configure the reserved register with value 0 with address 09h?
I wanted to avoid the configuration of only reserved register with address 09h which will be always 0, due to the limitation of the Verilog code which is used to configure these registers.
In the clock synthesizers(lmx 2531 or 2541) configuration if we are writing value 0 to some registers, then no need to configure those registers. Is this option is there for this particular ADC also?

Hope my question is clear and please let me now if you have any clarifications about the problem description.
