Hello,

I have a question about input channels of ADS8556EVM, it has 3 true bipolar inputs. Can I connect 6 uni-polar inputs and sample them? Or it can sample only 3 uni-polar channels? What will be the maximum sampling frequency per these channels?

    Hi Pavlo,

    You can connect 6 uni-polar inputs to ADS8556EVM. Actually, ADS8556 can accept 6 bi-polar inputs.

    Just a kindly reminder that please make sure you have proper power supplies connect to HVDD and HVSS pins no matter you use uni-polar or bi-polar inpus.

    About the maximum sampling frequency, it depends on the interface you use: ADS8556 support up to 630 kSPS in parallel interface mode or up to 450 kSPS if you use serial interface.
